IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL STUDENTS
It is with great sadness that we have to confirm the closure of the Beaminster Community Learning Centre, on Friday February 18th. The tutors have all felt extremely privileged to work with so many of you both, in the learning centre and out in the villages. Many of you will be aware that funding has been an increasingly difficult issue for us over recent years and in the end we have had to admit defeat. This decision has not been taken lightly and the tutors have been keen to save the work we have been able to develop over the years, for the community. To this end a new organisation is being formed, BCLC@Home, which will see the tutors taking learning and our troubleshooting service into peoples homes and various community venues. In effect, all our work will be carried out at outreach now, with no central venue. So, if you have any ideas for venues or groups who would like training, please let us know. This is an exciting time for us all and we need you to tell us what you would like to see available in your community. We are professional, flexible and extremely patient, with years of experience and qualifications which we can use to support you on your journey to computer confidence and literacy.
Keep in touch – we want to hear from you, Mollie, Catriona and Adele
SUPERFAST BROADBAND…
You may have seen news items about BT rolling out superfast broadband in Cornwall. We could be next, yes really – but only if we vote for it. Having read an article on Real West Dorset http://www.realwestdorset.co.uk/wordpress/ I followed the link to the special BT voting website, where it is necessary merely to enter your post code to vote.
To register your vote for superfast broadband on our exchange, please

Fingers crossed, we can all make a difference!
I really liuke this map. How did you do this?
Useful isn’t it? It is quite easy to create a link from Google maps. I can show you how if you would like? Give me a call!
